How to provide Flexfield Segment access in R12.2.3

In R12.2.3
Oracle recommend that you set up flexfield value set security to restrict privileges for modifying value sets to specific users as described previously. However, if you want complete backwards compatibility, where all users with access to the Segment Values form can modify all value sets, the simplest way to do this is the following procedure

Issue:

Unable to Access the Value set in General Ledger get message like FRM-40212: Invalid Value for field APPLICATION_NAME

Solution:
1. Navigate to Functional Administrator responsibility it will opens self-service form click on create (B)

2. In this form enter the Grant name and description
3. Select grantee type as “all user”, operating units as “Vision operation” and Responsibility as “General Ledger, Vision Operation
4. Select flexfield value set security object under “data security”

5. Click on “Next”(B)

6. Select the data context type as “all Rows”
7. Click Next (B)

8. Select set as “Flexfield value set security insert/update set” and click on next (B)

9. Review all the data and click on “finish”(B)

10. Now grant has been successfully created

11. After set the access we can able to query the value set information from General Ledger, Vision Operation (USA) Responsibility
